Cadets!!

Cadets is a national program for youth ages 12 to 18 who want to make new friends while participating in fun and challenging activities.

The Cadet Program

  • promotes teamwork, leadership and citizenship
• helps develop decision making skills
• increases self-confidence and physical fitness
• encourages participation by ALL Canadian youth with NO registration, camp or joining fees including
borrowing the uniform without cost!

Common Activities
Some of the many opportunities that are enjoyed by sea, army, and air cadets are:

  • Band
• Air Rifle Marksmanship
• Ceremonial Drill
• Biathlon
• Citizenship
• Sports
• Community Service
• Leadership and Teamwork
• Travel across Canada and overseas on international exchanges
• Summer employment as an instructor at a cadet summer training centre

Cost
There is no cost to join or participate in cadet activities. Uniforms are provided free of charge, on loan to cadets for the duration of their membership. Cadets participate in fundraising activities from time to time to defray some of the costs of providing the cadet programme. Cadets is a national programme for youth ages 12 to 18 who want to make new friends while participating in fun and challenging activities.
